    The development and construction activities being interlinked, there is a good scope for aluminum fabrication units for meeting the growing demand of new buildings for offices, business and shopping complexes, theatres etc. Aluminum fabricated and anodized items like doors, windows, railings, stair cases, shelves, ladders etc. are being increasingly used in the modern constructions on considerations of durability and appearance. In this regards the course is designed with the best interest of the trainees. We do not want only to teach, we want to empower, encourage and support on their journey. We want to see their success and help them by providing personal guidance, counselling and lead them to the current Job market. Internally displaced persons (IDPs) regain hope. •Fifty (50) Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Boys have successfully completed Aluminum and Glass Fabrication Skills training. The one (1) year level of skill of each trainee has acquired to a satisfactory level. • The training was carried out in Kumba. The area is situated in Meme Division in the South West Region where many IDPs are hosted. Due to financial crises, they were unable to undertake vocational and skills training. •One training center for the training was established. The training center was selected with the consent of the community. Local training venue helped the IDPs boys to participate in the training easily without any mobility problem. • A qualified trainer and a resource person training assistant were selected on the basis of their skilfulness, experience and education. Training was 100% practical due to the fact that trainees were mostly uneducated. The IDPs Boys were selected for the training after initial assessment of the level of commitment, trainees’ aptitude, interest and willingness etc. • The trainees were trained in all the important aspects of the course topics such as * Introduction to Aluminum and glass fabrication, Tools and equipment used in aluminum and glass fabrication. Safety sign and regulations, Application of personal protective equipment, Control house-keeping hazards; First Aid on minor injuries; Control of Electrical Fire Hazards, Hand tools; Measurement Taking ; Drawing & specifications; Maintainers of tools and equipment, Construction of outer frame for doors/window; Fixed window/partition; Frame for louver window/door construction, Installation of outer frame, Shutter for sliding window/door; Installation of sliding net shutter within outer frame. At the end of the course, Trainees were also train on business management. The following topics were introduced like Fundamentals of book keeping , bookkeeping cycle, The concepts of market segmentation, buyer behavior, branding, marketing strategies, Effective leadership and motivational techniques, communication and social responsibility. The participants took keen interest in all the course contents and termed the training very helpful in opening individual and group enterprises at their community household level. At the end of the 1year course, trainees were awarded end of course certificates INFRONT OF PHODEC MAIN OFFICE AND THE TRAINING CENTER

The project aims to address Pupil’s livelihood needs for income generation, while halting and reversing the trend of the forest loss and related environmental degradation in Kumba II district through promoting vegetable and fruit tree growing and agro-forestry systems. Fruit growing and agro-forestry practices are currently a low-key economic activity in Kumba. Tree and forest resources have significantly diminished due to an increase of people depending on them for survival as well as a lack of alternatives. Furthermore, in Kumba pupils have limited knowledge and skills in modern technologies, appropriate farming practices, proper post-harvest handling and quality control, and effective marketing skills. The project will ensure sustainable agricultural production and safeguard the environment thus pupils completing primary school will be job creators not seekers. Funded by Lush Charity Pot-UK

Business Management: *Effective leadership and motivational techniques, communication and social responsibility. At the end of the 1year course, trainees were awarded end of course certificates. The tailoring classroom is fully equipped with everything you need for learning tailoring and dressmaking. The Tailoring teacher is demonstrating practical lesson about dress cutting and layouts etc. The IDPs in Tailoring, girls will learn different sewing techniques and styles to make beautiful clothing and accessories. Tailoring Centre Bekumu, Bamusso Sub Division 40 Bamusso adolescent girls were trained on tailoring skills upgrading and engage in employment for income generating .The Training for cutting & tailoring is provided to adolescents girls  for providing them with employment. The girls are given three months of training and skills upgrading after which they are evaluated and government recognized certificates are awarded to them. This program is funded by Manos Unidas from Spain. 40 adolescents girls have received training under this program in 2018. After receiving training the girls are able to find employment in local boutiques, start their own tailoring work and some are even found employment as trainers. This training continues to be very popular especially for girls and women who can read and write but were unable to complete their high school.
